It is recommended that you water your lawn in the morning with about 1 inch of water per week. We also recommend fewer heavy watering sessions and more shorter sessions
Getting a yearly aeration is one of the best investments you can make. Golf courses do it many times throughout the season and it’s one of their key services. Once the aeration happens, water, seed, fertilizer, oxygen, and other nutrients enter the root system. And the plant systems can use those nutrients much more efficiently instead of being on the surface of your lawn.
At Yard Dawgs Edmonton, we use a Ryan mechanical core aerator for our services. It penetrates the ground about 1 to 2 inches deep. With the machine we can pretty much access all aeras of your lawn. Some exceptions may apply for very tight areas or some heavy slopped areas. We highly recommend getting an aeration done during the fall season, it’s much more beneficial than the springtime. The benefits are better water absorption, deeper and thicker roots, less weeds germinating and no cores on your lawn throughout spring and early summer.
Each time we come to perform a service at your home, it will be the same technician. That technician will be familiar with your property, know what to watch out for and will always remember any special notes since he’s been there throughout the season. Gone are the days of being serviced my different technicians and having to worry that they may not recall what you mentioned the first time. With Yard Dawgs, you will have a dedicated service technician throughout the season.
Tired of talking to different people and having to explain your situation over and over to them? We get it. That’s why with Yard Dawgs, each customer will have a dedicated customer success manager and have access to them whenever an issue arises. When you call in or send an email, you will always be talking to the same person, and they will go above and beyond to solve any issues or concerns you may have.
Our focus is on making our customers the happiest on planet earth. And when issues come up, the customer expects to speak to a human, not an automated chat bot to solve their issues. That’s why we do everything in our power to make sure that all our customers have a frictionless headache free experience with us.
No, we don’t remove the cores after the aeration. The cores will eventually decompose (between two to three weeks) and become a fresh layer of new soil that will help stimulate root growth and yield greener grass.
Yes it is! Aeration is great to do in the rain since your lawn will be less compacted and the aerator can penetrate deeper. As long as there is no snow, we can do the job for you.
